The Citroen C4 VTS car appeared in the Citroen model range almost simultaneously with the first Citroen C4: right after it acquired the necessary engine. The French, by tradition, strive to stylistically separate three- and five-door modifications of cars, producing virtually different bodies for them. In the case of the Citroen C4 VTS, this is 100% justified: the buyer of a top-end sports model gets a swift three-door, which outwardly has little in common with a quiet family hatchback.

The days when Citroen produced modest and outwardly unassuming cars are finally a thing of the past. Former chief designer of the French company Donato Coco, when he said that it was just a transitional period and that Citroen would still regain its status as a trendsetter in auto design, he was right. The Citroen C4 VTS is undoubtedly the most exhilarating and offbeat hatchback in the golf class.

Under the hood, the Citroen C4 VTS is a two-liter 16-valve 180 hp engine. with. at 7000 rpm. The motor is aggregated only with a five-speed manual transmission and accelerates a relatively light (1,337 kg of curb weight) car up to a hundred in 8.3 s. The VTS version differs from the standard Citroen C4 not only by the engine: the suspension was somewhat "squeezed", and ventilated brake discs with a diameter of 302 mm were installed in front.

There is only one complete set, like the engine, but top-end: Citroen C4 VTS is equipped with all the options available for C4. Plus: a parking sensor in the rear bumper, adjustable xenon headlights, R17 alloy wheels and Alcantara interior trim. All this costs 23,900 euros.

The Citroen C4 VTS car is, of course, the choice of aesthetes: those for whom style is primary, and not dry numbers of technical characteristics. And also those who are ready for French cars (in particular, cars from Citroen), as well as French women, to forgive everything for their beauty. Citroen C4, for example, is clearly inferior to the “Germans” and “Japanese” in street racing, but what does Citroen C4 VTS look like !!!
