The second generation of the Ford C-Max monocab was the main premiere of the American company at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September 2009 - compared to the previous model, it has changed dramatically on all fronts ... and from the very beginning of 2010 this compact van entered European markets.

On the stage of the Paris Motor Show, held in the fall of 2014, a restyled car (2015 model year) saw the light - its appearance was "combed" to match the overall style of the brand, the list of equipment was replenished with previously unavailable items, and the power line was expanded with new engines ...

Outside, the “second” Ford C-Max looks like a beautiful, dynamic and well-knocked down car, completely devoid of contradictory elements, but from the outside it seems bigger and more solid than it really is.

Compact MPV has the following external dimensions: 4379 mm in length, 1610 mm in height and 1828 mm in width. The wheelbase of the single-volume vehicle is 2648 mm, and its "combat" weight varies from 1374 to 1550 kg, depending on the version.

"Apartments" Ford C-Max of the 2nd incarnation is a stylish and modern design, well-thought-out ergonomics, a solid level of workmanship and a five-seater layout.

The trunk of the car in the standard form is 432 liters, and with the rear seat folded down - 1723 liters.

Specifications. A wide range of gasoline and diesel power units has been announced for "Es-Max":

  • The first include four-cylinder "aspirated" 1.6-liter, producing 85-125 horsepower and 141-159 Nm of peak thrust, and turbocharged "triplets" and "fours" with a volume of 1.0-1.5 liters, producing 100-182 "mares" and 170- 240 Nm of torque.
  • Among the latter are in-line "turbo-fours" of 1.5-2.0 liters with Common Rail injection, the performance of which has 95-170 "stallions" and 215-400 Nm of available recoil.

In the arsenal of transmissions - a 5- or 6-speed "manual" gearbox or a 6-band "robot" Power Shift, directing the entire power reserve to the wheels of the front axle.

The second "release" Ford C-Max is built on the front-wheel drive architecture "Global C platform" with independent suspension type MacPherson front, mounted on a subframe, and branded rear "multi-link" Control Blade. The body of the five-door is 53% made of high-strength steel.
The car is equipped with disc brakes on all wheels (ventilated at the front) with ABS and EBD and a rack and pinion steering system, supplemented by an electric power steering.

Options and prices. The "second" Ford C-Max is not officially supplied to Russia, but in the countries of the Old World it is in good demand - for example, in Germany it is sold at a price of 18,250 euros (~ 1.12 million rubles at the exchange rate at the beginning of 2017).
The "base" of the car includes: six airbags, an audio system, ABS, EBD, hill start assistant, ESP, TCS, power windows, air conditioning, 16-inch wheels and some other options.
