"Juke" is a five-door SUV of a subcompact class and, in combination, a "global product" of the Japanese automaker Nissan Motor Company ... The target audience of the car is young people (who love fashion accessories and technological innovations) or just bright individuals (who value dynamics, drive and freedom of expression) ...

An extraordinary crossover appeared in the Nissan model palette in 2010 - its official premiere took place in March at the Geneva International Motor Show (although its forerunner, the Qazana concept car, was presented there, in Switzerland, but in 2009) ...

In March 2014, at the Geneva Motor Show, the restyled Juke appeared in all its glory at the Geneva Motor Show, to which the exterior was "refreshed", making it even more interesting, they made modest changes to the interior, adding new options for combining finishes and colors, expanded the list of available options and finalized the technical "stuffing".

Exactly four years later (all in the same Switzerland), the updated car debuted once again (but again the modernization "was limited to little blood") - he only slightly corrected the exterior, darkening the V-shaped bar on the radiator grille, taillights and turn signal repeaters , installed a new audio system and separated previously unavailable body and interior color options.

Without exaggeration, but Nissan Juke is one of the most extravagant cars in the class - it looks fresh and original, and its appearance will definitely not leave anyone indifferent (however, such courage is clearly not to everyone's taste).

The uniqueness of the crossover immediately catches the eye - its slightly distraught "facial expression" flaunts elongated "boomerangs" with integrated direction indicators, a V-shaped radiator grill and huge "round" headlights.

In profile, the car hints at its sporty orientation, featuring a well-balanced and dynamic shape with a sloping roof, a sill line that rises closer to the stern, and inflated wheel arches. The distinctive look of the five-door is completed by a lean rear, on which spectacular lamps in the shape of the letter "L" and a powerful bumper flaunt.

"Dzhuk" is a typical representative of the class of subcompact SUVs: it is 4135 mm long, 1765 mm wide, and does not exceed 1565 mm in height. A 2530 mm base fits between the wheelsets of the car, and under the bottom there is a 180 mm ground clearance. When equipped, the "Japanese" weighs from 1225 to 1242 kg, depending on the version.

The rounded interior of the Nissan Juke looks attractive, stylish and modern, but unpretentious against the background of the exterior. The center console is topped by a 5.8-inch screen of the multimedia complex, below which is a modern air conditioning unit with an individual color display. Sportiness in the "suites" of the crossover is extolled by round instruments made in a motorcycle style and a raised three-spoke steering wheel. But if the design and ergonomics of the five-door is in complete order, then you cannot say the same about the finishing materials - hard plastics and soiled "lacquer" inserts are used here, although in expensive versions the seats are dressed in high-quality leather.

The front seats "Dzhuka" have moderate lateral support, cushion of optimal length and wide range of adjustments. A comfortable sofa is installed on the second row, but there is little free space - only people of average height can normally sit here.

By the standards of the class, the Nissan Juke has quite a good trunk - its volume is 354 liters. The rear row folds in two unequal sections, increasing the headroom to 1189 liters, and forms a completely flat cargo area. In the niche under the raised floor there is a small spare wheel and a set of tools.

On the Russian market, a single petrol unit is offered for a subcompact SUV - this is an inline atmospheric "four" with a working volume of 1.6 liters (1598 cubic centimeters) with multipoint injection, a DOHC 16-valve timing chain drive and variable valve timing. The engine produces 117 horsepower at 6000 rpm and 158 N • m of torque at 4000 rpm, and is installed in conjunction with the uncontested Xtronic CVT and front-wheel drive transmission.

From one place to the first "hundred" Nissan Juke accelerates after 11.5 seconds, and its maximum capabilities "rest" at 170 km / h.

In mixed driving conditions, the crossover requires 6.3 liters of fuel for every 100 kilometers.

The entry and exit angles at the five-door are 23 and 27.5 degrees, respectively, and the ramp angle does not exceed 22.5 degrees.

The Juke is based on a front-wheel drive platform called the Nissan B, and its body structure contains a wide proportion of high-strength grades of steel. At the front, the car is equipped with an independent suspension with MacPherson struts, and at the rear - with a semi-independent system with a torsion beam ("in a circle" - with springs and anti-roll bars).

The crossover uses a rack and pinion steering system, which integrates an electric power amplifier with variable characteristics. The "Japanese" is equipped with a dual-circuit brake system with ABS, EBD and disc brakes on all wheels: ventilated devices with a diameter of 280 mm are installed on the front axle, and the usual 292-mm "pancakes" are installed on the rear axles.

In the Russian market, Nissan Juke in 2018 is offered in five trim levels to choose from: “SE”, “SE +”, “QE +”, “QE + Perso” and “LE Perso”.

Prices for this car start at 1,200,000 rubles, and its basic version includes: six airbags, climate control, 17-inch alloy wheels, ABS, EBD, ESP, heated front seats, climate control, electric mirrors and glasses, a four-speaker audio system, cruise control, leather steering wheel and much more.

The "top modification" of an off-road vehicle costs from 1,415,000 rubles, and its privileges are: a multimedia system, panoramic cameras, a navigator, leather interior, xenon headlights, a tracking system for markings and "blind" zones, light and rain sensors, 18- inch "rollers", keyless entry technology and "darkness" of other equipment.
